Telstra had another challenge to overcome, their customers connected to the HFC network would be logically migrated across to the nbn network, but physical connectivity would not change, just the NTD (Network Termination Device, aka cable modem).<\/p>\n<p>TPS were engaged to design, construct, and commission a \u201cfoundation network\u201d, connected to the production network, which could be used by nbn and themselves to trial migration of services.
