One key element of the devastation was that it was identified that many rural and regional emergency services organizations lacked sufficient emergency power generation capabilities.\u00a0As part of the initiative, TPS were engaged to visit and survey selected regional CFA, Ambulance and firefighting depots around regional Victoria, identify existing power backup facilities and make recommendations on any requisite upgrades.\u00a0During the performance of these works, we discovered that many of the regional offices had aging, poor and often inconsistent infrastructure used to provide backup power during a catastrophic event (a time when the grid rarely supplies energy).<\/p>    <\/div>\n<\/div>\n<!-- \/module text --><!-- module image -->\n<div  class=\"module module-image tb_3ej5213   image-top tf_mw\" data-lazy=\"1\">\n            <div class=\"image-wrap tf_rel tf_mw\">\n\t\t    <img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" data-src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/tpsonline.com.au\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/Projects-15.1.webp?w=800&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\"   src=\"data:image\/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAAAAACH5BAEKAAEALAAAAAABAAEAAAICTAEAOw==\" class=\"lazyload\">\t\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<!-- \/image-wrap -->\n    \n    \n<\/div>\n<!-- \/module image --><!-- module text -->\n<div  class=\"module module-text tb_16et213   \" data-lazy=\"1\">\n            <div  class=\"tb_text_wrap\">\n    <p>By performing the site audits, the Victorian government were able to target investment where it was needed most, providing for efficient investment, providing a greater level of overall reliability for EMS workers.
