Planned technical works for telecommunications fall into two primary categories. ISP (Inside Plant) and OSP (Outside Plant). Performing telecommunications technical works to OSP networks falls into two major sub-categories. Above the Line and Below the Line, or in loose terms underground in pits and manholes\/tunnels and above ground fixed to telecommunications towers\/poles and power authority infrastructure (typically poles).\u00a0<\/p> <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n

TPS are experienced and qualified to work above the line and below the line, nationally. We have extensive experience in cable hauling, active\/passive device installation, active\/passive device replacement, fibre splicing in all styles of loose tube and ribbon enclosure systems, antennae works at customer sites and public sites, and many more capabilities.<\/p> <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n

When working on national construction projects, our teams will issue LIFD\u2019s (Low Impact Facility Determination) notices to residents and LAAN\u2019s (Land Access Activity Notices) to councils and other identified stakeholders, utilizing our client\u2019s carrier powers from the telecommunications Act.\u00a0TPS staff are trained and certified to access above ground aerial infrastructure on electricity provider assets from ladders and are also certified and trained to enter confined spaces.\u00a0Some projects require that we work at night-time. TPS are experienced at working in the dark during the evening, in coastal precincts, and all kinds of residential and commercial urban precincts.<\/p> <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n

Often when working in man-holes and pits it becomes necessary to de-water. All TPS OSP staff are utilizing vehicles equipment with DC submersible pubs, so that when used in conjunction with appropriate piping, socks, sand-bags and filters they can safely pump non-contaminated water without standing-down and waiting for a pump truck to be ordered and delivered to site. Often, this combined training and equipment solutions saves days and days of stand-down, assisting to meet project commitment dates and times.<\/p> <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n
